Here are some answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.
1. What is a purge party?:
An opportunity for stashaholics to organize, share and recycle their fabric (craft) stashes by consigning their items to Our Fabric Stash for cash.
2. What are acceptable items for consignment?:
Items can include but, are not limited to: fabric, fabric scraps,fiber, textiles, yarns, thread, notions, sewing machines, beads, scrapbooking and beading supplies, etc.,
~ Note: This is a marketplace for raw materials/tools used to complete your craft; no finished products (i.e., purses, hats, etc.,) are allowed.
3. What are acceptable conditions for consignment items?:
Items must be in good to excellent condition. Fabrics must be free of odors (e.g., smoke), dust, etc.,
4. Who is responsible for pricing the items for consignment?:
You are so, price to sell!
5. Who are the local charity recipients?:

Page Ahead: Guided by the fact that literacy is essential to lifelong success, Page Ahead provides new books and develops reading activities that empower at-risk children. Quilters volunteer their skills to make small (approx 9” X 12”) quilt sections for them to use as thank you gifts. Quilt patterns are generally based on children's drawings.
Stone Soup Quilters: The "stone soup principle" to work to help out some people who are far from home and in crisis: the patients of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and their families (Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is a combined effort of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center University of Washington Medical Center and Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center). We simply make quilts and give them to new patients as they enter the hospital for treatment.
Northwest African American Museum: As a part of the Museum’s current exhibit, Stories That Cover Us, members of the Pacific Northwest African American Quilters will be hosting a free quilting workshop at NAAM. This is a chance for the general public of all skill levels to create quilts centered around the stories that populate their own life. The basics of quilting, including quilting vocabulary, fabric selection, quilting technique, design development will be covered.
